Ebel

Ebel, a Story Born from Passion

The Ebel brand is the result of a shared passion between founders Eugène Blum and Alice Levy. In 1911, they established their watchmaking manufacture in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. The name Ebel is actually composed of the initials of the founders, symbolizing their union in this watchmaking adventure.

A Spectacular and Innovative Evolution

Ebel distinguished itself from the very beginning with its ambition for innovation. In 1912, a year after its creation, the brand produced its first watch bracelet, a revolution in the world of horology. In 1929, the entry of Charles-Eugène Blum, the founders' son, into the business marked a turning point. His contribution to quality and precision propelled Ebel to the pinnacle of watchmaking excellence. In 1935, Ebel became a pioneer by introducing the “Western Electric” system, the precursor to the vibrograph, ensuring increased accuracy in watch movements.

A Tradition of Excellence Passed Down Through Generations

The craftsmanship of Ebel is passed down from generation to generation. Pierre-Alain Blum, another son of the family, joined the company to elevate Ebel among the most prestigious luxury brands. The 1970s saw the launch of the Sport Classic model (1977), which achieved great success and was adopted by renowned disciplines like tennis and golf. As a result, Ebel established partnerships with organizers of major international sporting events, further solidifying its image as a luxury brand.

A Strong Brand in the World of Jewelry

Each Ebel watch combines authentic style with technical expertise. Following the success of the patented and award-winning ring watch, Ebel continued to innovate in the 20th century with iconic models such as Beluga and Onde. These creations blend elegance and performance, perpetuating Ebel's reputation as a master watchmaker.
