Fanourakis

The Artistic Legacy of Thomas Fanourakis

Thomas Fanourakis, a graduate of the Athens School of Fine Arts, nurtured his passion for art at the Archaeological Museum. In 1960, he founded the Fanourakis company in Heraklion, Crete. This family business quickly distinguished itself through its unique craftsmanship in goldsmithing. By combining ancient artisanal techniques with refined designs, Fanourakis creates jewelry that captures the essence of beauty and elegance.

The Secret to Lasting Success

The success of Fanourakis is rooted in a family tradition firmly anchored in creativity. Each generation has contributed to the art of jewelry-making, thus perpetuating an uninterrupted know-how. Lina Fanourakis, wife of Leonidas Fanourakis, played a central role in the house until her passing in 2006. As the chief designer, she not only designed the collections but also supervised the entire production process. Her passion for jewelry and expertise enabled the creation of unique pieces using top-quality materials, primarily gold.

Magical and Mysterious Jewels

Fanourakis creations are renowned for their beauty and originality. The house offers a varied range of jewelry, such as rings adorned with precious stones, flower- or animal-shaped earrings, pearl or diamond necklaces, and pendants inspired by nature. The brooches, often intricate, also showcase the creative talent of the house.

In fifty years of existence, Fanourakis has made a name for itself in the international market, with boutiques and galleries in Greece, particularly in Athens.
