Girard-Perregaux

Girard-Perregaux, a History of Innovation Since 1791

The house of Girard-Perregaux was established in 1791 with the founding of Jean-François Bautte & Company by watchmaker-jeweler Jean-François Bautte. His early extra-flat watches captivated iconic literary figures such as Honoré de Balzac and Alexandre Dumas. In 1852, Constant Girard and his wife Marie Perregaux created the Girard-Perregaux house. Their high-quality watches, combining technology and innovation, quickly gained international acclaim. In 1906, the merger with Jean-François Bautte & Company gave birth to Girard-Perregaux, an emblematic brand of Swiss haute horlogerie.

An Endless Quest for Perfection

Girard-Perregaux is renowned for the exceptional craftsmanship of its artisans, including engineers, watchmakers, and polishers. The brand is committed to seeking perfection not only in design but also in complex mechanical movements. In 1889, it received the gold medal at the Paris World Expo for its model "La Esmeralda," equipped with a tourbillon regulator on a three-bridge parallel movement. Since then, the brand has continuously innovated by utilizing the most advanced technologies to produce luxury watches that combine accuracy and precision.

Iconic Models by Girard-Perregaux

Among the exceptional creations of Girard-Perregaux are legendary models such as Vintage (1945), WW.TC (1966), Laureato Evo³, Cat’s Eye (for women's models), and Constant Escapement (2013). These pieces embody elegance, functionality, and horological excellence.
