1: Happy birthday, Vincenzo Castaldo!
This year, Vincenzo Castaldo celebrates his 20th anniversary as the head of Pomellato jewelry design. To celebrate, he has designed "Ode to Milan," a fine jewelry collection honoring Milan's ever-changing urban landscape.
Inspired by the rich history and hidden treasures of the Lombardy city, Ode to Milan offers 33 pieces of jewelry that are both modern and timeless. Drawing inspiration from Milanese design prowess, Pomellato boldly launched its jewelry collection in Paris , the capital of fine jewelry.

2: The Sipario necklace is a masterpiece of jewelry staging with its chains and diamonds
Creativity on Stage , one of the four chapters of "Ode to Milan," is inspired by the traditional chain-making of Pomellato. It symbolizes the creativity of La Scala Theatre and Via Montenapoleone. The Sipario necklace envelops the body with an intricate network of various diamond-set chains and links. Its central link sparkles with a random pattern of brilliant-cut and fancy-cut diamonds, adding a touch of magic to this original jewelry composition.
3: Bosco Verticale earrings at the Giardini Verticali
The Giardini Verticali earrings are a breathtaking masterpiece. They are crafted from a string of 52 magnetic green tourmalines and 6 violet-blue tanzanites. The goal, of course, is to evoke projects that capture the imagination. Notably, the Bosco Verticale , the famous Milanese building covered in greenery.
In 2014, Arreca and Giovanni La Varra created the Bosco Verticale (Vertical Forest in English) in Milan's Porta Nuova district. 800 trees and 5,000 shrubs were planted on the terraces of these two famous buildings. This greenery is cleverly integrated, making the towers a living testament to the power of green architecture.
4. Bossage, a new type of paving inspired by the medieval Sforzesco Castle
In honor of Milan's most imposing monument, the medieval Castello Sforzesco , Vincenzo Castaldo and his team reinterpreted a 1972 choker found in the Pomellato archives to create the Castello necklace . Beyond the choice of stones (28 carats of baguette-, princess-, and brilliant-cut diamonds and 5 rubellites), the settings are also unique. By arranging the gemstones in an unorthodox manner, their sharp angles evoke the rough stonework of the Castello's façade, producing a new style of paving that Pomellato has dubbed " bossage ." This architectural technique, using stones with clearly defined edges and a raised central area, exudes power and a sense of invincibility.
5. Pomellato jewelry that is as easy to recognize as it is to wear
The Pomellato bracelet and Terrazza Duomo earrings are a perfect example of Pomellato's approach to fine jewelry. These pieces are inspired by the white marble façade of the 16th-century Gothic architecture of Milan's Duomo . They deconstruct the cathedral's richly decorated style into key geometric shapes.
