The 2024 Tiffany Céleste Blue Book Collection has arrived
For its Blue Book 2024 collection, Tiffany & Co. looked to the sky and the stars. The launch of the Tiffany Céleste collection took place a few days ago in Los Angeles, attended by a stellar lineup of celebrities.
Tiffany’s Blue Book: A Century-Old Tradition
First published in 1845, the Tiffany & Co. Blue Book was the first mail-order catalog to offer fine jewelry to American households. It quickly became a benchmark for luxury.
Last Thursday, Anya Taylor-Joy, Emily Blunt, and Gal Gadot were among the 150 friends of the LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton maison who attended the launch of the Tiffany Céleste jewels at the prestigious Estate Beverly.
Nathalie Verdeille is the French mastermind behind these Tiffany jewels. She has been the Chief Artistic Officer of Jewelry and High Jewelry at Tiffany & Co. since 2021. Is the luxury sector in crisis? According to Anthony Ledru, CEO of Tiffany, high jewelry defies the luxury slowdown and is "recession-proof".
Blue Book 2024 Tiffany Céleste: The Most Lavish Collection in History, Inspired by Schlumberger
With the 2024 edition, Tiffany Céleste has become the most ambitious Blue Book collection to date. This is true in terms of the number of jewels, but also in total value. It is composed of 157 pieces whose average price is "close to a million, or even more," Ledru said. The range is inspired by Tiffany's legendary jeweler Jean Schlumberger, who joined the company in 1956 to usher in a golden age with his fantastic creations inspired by nature.
"Last year we worked on Out of the Blue, exploring the deep sea. Céleste goes in the opposite direction. That is, towards the sun, the cosmos, rays of light, a fantastic world of mystical symbols," said Verdeille.
Some Remarkable Jewels from the Tiffany Céleste Collection
The crown jewel of the collection is a breathtaking winged Pegasus diamond necklace, inspired by the symbol of flight, in platinum and 18k yellow gold with a diamond of over 20 carats.
Other pieces draw inspiration from arrow-shaped Colombian emerald and diamond constellations, propelling the decorative art of marquetry into star-studded settings. "Normally, you see it in stone or mother-of-pearl, but here it's a mix of sapphires, diamonds, mother-of-pearl, and white gold," Verdeille explained.
A luxurious ring, stunning even by Beverly Hills standards, features a 25-carat pink sapphire set between sparkling diamond stars.
The Apollo necklace, inspired by Schlumberger's 1957 Apollo brooch, consists of gold links enclosing white diamonds around a 10-carat yellow diamond, imitating electrons "dancing around the atom," Verdeille said.
The Ray of Light sub-collection evokes sunbeams through platinum and 18k yellow gold. Its necklace, adorned with 54 carats of red spinels, can transform into a modern-looking tiara.
A 25-carat blue zircon and pebble-like aquamarines, "like the nebular sky," illuminate a bracelet from the Iconic Star sub-collection.
