A vintage pendant signed by Chopard, "Happy Clown" collection, depicting an articulated puppet in 750/000 yellow gold, with a bow tie set with brilliant-cut diamonds (0.22ct in total), and sapphire eyes (0.05ct in total). Its belly houses floating stones between two panes of glass: emerald, sapphires, rubies weighing 0.10 ct each, and 3 diamonds totaling 0.30 ct. It is held by a 750/000 yellow gold jaseron chain.
It was in 1985 that Caroline Scheufele, artistic director and co-president of Chopard, created this amusing clown, giving birth to the House's first piece of jewelry, which until then had specialized in watchmaking.
