A limited edition necklace by artist Henri Hecht Maïk composed of an elaborate chain in brushed 750/000 yellow gold holding a pendant depicting a clown riding a lion in chased and brushed 750/000 yellow gold. The clown's costume and the flower he holds are enhanced with colored enamel. The nose is set with a round ruby, and the eyes of both the clown and the lion are set with round emeralds. Both are hand-engraved Maïk and numbered 1/8. Enamel missing from the bowtie.
Henri Hecht Maïk (1922-1993), a naive painter who collaborated in the creation of Aubusson tapestries, an author and illustrator of children's books, and a creator of limited edition jewelry.
